July 21, 2016 (Bloomberg) -- Roger Ailes resigned as head of the Fox News Channel, felled by sexual harassment accusations leveled by a former anchor, Bloomberg News reports.

He’ll be succeeded by 21st Century Fox founder and Chairman Rupert Murdoch.

The company, the owner of the 20th Century Fox studio, along with cable and broadcast networks, confirmed the extraordinary change in a e-mail Thursday.
